Appointed to provide delivery assurance of the transformation programme including the establishment of an independent assurance function.

Challenged on all aspects of transformation delivery, including governance, scope, RAID and change management. Led a review of the technology portfolio resulting in revised delivery structures and business leadership accountabilities. Overhauled programme steering and embedded a transformation risk committee.

Engaged to turnaround a highly complex change programme to design, build and implement a global Digital Supply Chain.

Overcame change fatigue, aligning a diverse stakeholder network globally and re-energising internal resources, to deliver the first release of the integrated application landscape. Managed the subsequent transition from third party suppliers to in-house teams.

Workplace modernisation with Office 365 roll-out​

Led on engaging employees with the workplace modernisation programme which included a device refresh, upgrade to Windows 10, Exchange Online migration and delivery of the Office 365 suite, including SharePoint and Teams.
Designed an innovative approach to make the change journey a seamless experience for team members. Ensured completion of data migration activities. Embedded flexible ways of working and increased usage across the new tools.

Revised operating model and organisation redesign

Instructed to support the definition of a revised operating model with organisation redesign, including giving assurance that the operating model would support both transformation and live operations.

As part of establishing a Lifecycle Services function designed and launched a new demand management process with revised governance, including Investment and Portfolio board. Worked with the People Team to transition staff into new roles and launch new business services.

Digital healthcare provider ISO 27001 certification

Retained to embed information security best practice and achieve ISO 27001 certification.

Developed an implementation plan for certification and compliance. Defined information and supporting assets and the scope of the information security management system. Developed policies and embedded risk management, incident management and corrective and preventative processes. Established clear roles and responsibilities and formalised management review.

Transformation of regional technology capability

Engaged to transform the internal IT function into a high performing Europe-based technology capability, adding greater value to business operations.

Created a technology change function and introduced a new delivery methodology with robust investment governance. Prioritised technology delivery against business objectives with alignment to the architectural roadmap. A fast refocus of priorities accelerated a global SAP rollout and website refresh to support the launch of a new gaming console.

Portfolio management and project turnaround

Appointed to embed portfolio management of all technology projects and turnaround a business-critical central government project.
Established an Information Services programme management office, including governance frameworks, systems and processes. Delivered an application to support the national Budget and Finance Bill process, managing relationships between specialist policy teams and internal and external suppliers.

Organisation restructure and process redesign

Led on the design and delivery of a strategic transformation project which restructured the business and embedded new business processes, achieving increased productivity.
Oversaw the consultation process, including the creation of new role profiles, updates to existing roles with the redeployment, recruitment and management of leavers. Built a change community and engagement model, deployed across Europe and the US, to minimise impact to business as usual operations and morale.

Development of a digital communications strategy

Engaged to develop and implement a strategy to drive a ‘digital first’ mentality across the business.
Strategy included new tools and ways of working, balancing the company’s vision against the industry’s regulatory and operational requirements. Delivered a range of initiatives including a pilot of cloud services, a Yammer roll-out, an augmented reality app and a micro-site to engage employees with the company’s financial results.

Health and social care service integration

Engaged to design and manage two change programmes to deliver patient centred care and support partnership working across organisations.

Prepared and agreed a business case and programme definition to deliver transformed care for patients with co-morbidities. Completed programme mobilisation including stakeholder engagement, governance, and the establishment of programme management offices.

Luxury department store GDPR readiness

Engaged to ensure all employees understood the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and their responsibilities when handling customer and employee data.

Completed a detailed training needs analysis and designed dynamic and educational content for awareness and compliance sessions to upskill employees. Delivered an impactful communications campaign to support the training and engagement activities.

Licensing of health and social care providers in England

Led on delivery of a new compliance model of regulation and the licensing of public and private care providers following the merger of three regulators.
End to end programme delivery including definition, planning, resourcing and budgeting. Aligned risk management frameworks to critical path delivery and managed the procurement of specialist suppliers. Alignment of all communications and engagement activity including, public consultations, press releases and briefings to No10.
